Our July Club Night was our competition night, and for the first six months of the year our practice class had been 'practising' displays to enter into our competition. These leaves the remaining five months for us to learn new skills. Starting in July Pippa Lovering will be holding 'Back to Basics' classes. These classes are ideal for the beginner - people who have never ever arranged a flower, to those with some skills, and those with great skills that could need updating.
Our Practice nights are always on the 4th Tuesday of the month at Pewsham Community Centre - where there is lots of free parking. We start at 7.00pm and finish at 9.00pm. The cost of the session is £5.00 for members and non members and this prices includes refreshments.
Why not come along and try your hand at learning this new and rewarding hobby.
Our Club Nights take place on the first Monday of every month at Sheldon School Hall, doors open at 6.30pm and we finish around 9.30pm. Our next meeting is on 4th August 2025 and we are welcoming Lesley Hunt from Weston Super Mare as we watch her create floral art within the theme of 'A Lifetime of Hospitality'. We are never sure exactly what displays we will be presented with, but they are without exception always worth seeing. As an added bonus you can buy a raffle ticket (or several raffle tickets), for your chance to win one or more of the displays to take home with you at the end of the meeting.
Each month we have either a demonstrator, a competition, a speaker or a workshop and in December each year we have our spectacular Festive Open Evening. We will post more about this years event after the summer.
We look forward to welcoming you at our Club Night and/or at our Practice Nights.
We are passionate about flower arranging and supporting our town and community. Many of our members provide the floral arrangements at local churches. We also support local charities.
At our annual dinner on 27th November @Chippenham Golf Club we raised £150 for a local charity. Our members decided on Chippenham and District Talking Pages. A very worthwhile endeavour, reading and distributing papers to people who are blind or partially sighted.
This year we are happy to support Chippenham Link Transport. This charity provides such a useful service to people of Chippenham who cannot get to medical appointments. Chippenham Link Transport is a volunteer transport service that offers door to door transport for local people who are unable to access public or private transport.

Another charity we are supporting this year is Chippenham's Gateway Club. This club meets monthly at Hardenhuish School, it is a social club for people with learning difficulties. As a club, committee members and some club members attended an evening to engage with the art of flower arranging, offering advice on how to arrange the flowers that were provided by the flower club for each person to arrange and take home. https://adults.wiltshire.gov.uk/Services/661/Chippenham-Gateway-C
We visited Blenheim House Care Home this year to provide a floral demonstration to the residents and staff. One of our former members now lives at Blenheim House and it was at their invitation that we attended. This occasion was very enjoyable and provided a mindful interlude for all those that attended. https://www.berkleycaregroup,co.uk/blenheim-house
In July we visited the 'Over 50's friendship club' in Chippenham. We held a workshop with their members to assist them in the art of flower arranging.
At Chippenham Flower Club, we have been passionate about flowers for over five decades! Our journey began with a simple love for floral artistry, and we have since grown into a trusted name in the Chippenham community.
We open at 6.45pm for a 7.30pm start in Sheldon School Hall, Hardenhuish Lane, Chippenham, SN14 6HJ. We meet on the first Monday of every month, unless it is a bank holiday, then its the second Monday.
Our Practice Class is held on the fourth Tuesday every month (except December) from 7.00pm to 9.00pm in Pewsham Community Centre, Lodge Road, Chippenham, SN15 3SY.
These classes are run by Pippa Lovering, a NAFAS Area Judge, who is both friendly and extremely knowledgeable. At just £5.00 for an evening out it is a great way to develop new skills or improve your talent.
We welcome new and existing members, as well as visitors and accompanied children. We open at 6.45pm for a 7.30pm start at Sheldon School Hall on the first Monday of the month, unless its a bank holiday, then it’s the following week.
